GIS support in electronic protective measures: from general concepts to the description and testing of flexible tools for modelling and analyzing complex military scenarios
Absztrakt :
This article aims at describing how geographic information systems can be used for supporting electronic protective measures. First the general concepts are introduced. Then the GIS software offer is reviewed in regards of the objectives and requirements of EPM. Finally, one tool is chosen (AGI STK), an electronic battlefield is developed and two different scenarios are tested. The first scenario deals with the assessment of jamming dispositive on the navigation accuracy of a predator UAV and the second one deals with radio frequency planning and interference analysis
