Abstract :
„Mindenki fél az időtől, de az idő csak a piramisoktól fél!” (arab közmondás) A tahtíb, Egyiptom fáraókori harcművészete egyidős a piramisokkal. Majd a Nílus menti birodalom bukásakor átalakult néptánccá. A 21. században a néptánc tahtíb szabályaiból megszületett a modern tahtíbnak nevezett önvédelmi küzdősport. Vajon az idő fél a tahtíbtól?
„All things dread time, but time dreads the pyramids!”(Arab proverb). Tahtib, the ancient martial art of Egypt was born when the pyramids were built. After the decline of Ancient Egypt, tahtib transformed into a folk dance. In the 21th century from the rules of the folk dance tahtib, the modern tahtib – the modern Egyptian martial art – was born. Does the time dread tahtib or not?
