A katonai-védelmi követelmények érvényesülésének vizsgálata a 142-es számú Budapest - Lajosmizse - Kecskemét vasútvonal tervezett fejlesztése kapcsán

Abstract

The rail transport system is an integral part of the economic and social life of a country. For its proper function, the condition of the tracks and the quality of rail services need to be up to the technical standards of this period. This is particu-larly true of the lines related to the country’s largest city. The renovation of the railway lines leading to Budapest has started in recent years. One of the next track reconstruction projects is the renovation of line Nr. 142 connecting Budapest with Kecskemét. The plans had been published by the Budapest Development Centre. However, this railway line is important not only for civilian interest, but also in military terms, because of the military bases it serves. During the renovation of transport infrastructure, particularly those that have military importance, it is worth analysing the validation of the military defence requirements, in order that the infrastructure can fulfil its intended role in both the civil and military transport system. In this article, I make this analysis in relation to the planned renovation of the line Nr. 142. Based on the results of my analysis, I will make recommendations for further improvements that are needed.
