A nagy Kantó földrengés

Abstract

Hatalmas földrengés rázta meg a Tokiót és környékét 1923. szeptember 1-jén. A világ egyik legnagyobb városát, földrengés és tűzvész pusztította el. Anarchia és káosz uralkodott, a természeti katasztrófa megváltoztatta és átírta a nemzet sorsát. Ez a nagy Kantó földrengés volt. A kilencvenhárom évvel ezelőtti földrengés lerombolta a fővárost és a környező városokat, jelentős számú emberáldozatot követelve. A cikkben a szerző bemutatja a japán nemzet legsúlyosabb 20. századi, modern kori természeti katasztrófáját, a földrengést, annak hatásait és következményeit, különös tekintettel Tokióra és a Kantó régióra, a károk nagyságát, az újjáépítést és a komplex természeti katasztrófából számunkra is levonható tanulságokat.

A huge earthquake hit Tokyo and its surroundings on 1 September 1923. One of the greatest cities in the world was destroyed by earthquake and fire, anarchy and chaos prevailed, the natural disaster has changed and re- wrote the fate of the nation. This was the great Kanto earthquake. Ninety-three years ago, the earthquake devas- tated the capital and surrounding cities, demanding significant number of casualties. The article describes the Japanese nation's worst 20th century modern-day natural disaster, the earthquake and its effects and conse- quences, particularly in Tokyo and the Kanto region, the magnitude of the damage, reconstruction and the les- sons learned from complex natural disaster.
